Bits and Pieces that don’t go anyplace else ‘Slán agus beannacht leat.’ It means ‘goodbye and blessings be with you’. It is a common phrase when parting. Since it’s connected to this question: ‘Go n-éirí an bóthar leat’ is the popular may the road rise to meet you, or may the road proceed you.
